ACADEME: Advancing Careers in Academics with Diversity Education and Mentorship in Engineering

Since 2017 Dr. Williams has worked with a team of female and minority Investigators from the University of Akron and the University of Houston to give recent engineering PhD graduates or soon to be PhD’s the tools needed to excel in Academia. This is a two-week summer workshop where engineering scholars come together from across the country to enhance their pedagogical skills, networking skills, collaboration skills and so much more!

The most recent workshop took place in June 2019 at Mississippi State University. The team conducted the workshop with over 20 scholars from across the United States.
